Aubrium vs Runwave AI: which is better for finding viral reels?
Runwave AI covers three platforms and takes apart any reel you paste, then scripts it. Aubrium is a library of Instagram reels from accounts your size.

One reel in Aubrium's library opens with "Ultimate baby airline seat hack". It's from @zetra…, a family travel account with 9,278 followers, and it reached 76,916,665 views. Accounts that small aren't the exception here. When we read the library on 22 October 2026, 122,295 of its 286,620 posts came from accounts under 10,000 followers.
Runwave AI aims at accounts that size too. Its home page says it's for you if you post about AI tools or automation and you're "somewhere between your first post and 10k followers".1 So both tools want to tell a small creator what to post next. They just go about it in opposite ways. Runwave takes apart the reels you bring it, or the ones trending among accounts you point it at, and writes each one up as a script in your voice. Aubrium is a library you search, with the hook and how it was made labelled on every post.
Fair warning: this is our page. We built Aubrium. We read Runwave's site again on 22 October 2026, its prices and its own comparison pages included, but we haven't paid for it or used its app. Runwave is also one of the ten tools in the best tools to find viral reels. Here's how the two compare on what they find, what they cost and who they suit.
Pick Runwave AI if your reels are about AI tools or automation and you want any reel you paste broken down and scripted in your voice. It covers TikTok and YouTube Shorts too. Starter is $19 a month after a $5 first month. Pick Aubrium if you post on Instagram and want to search viral reels from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers. It starts at $49 a month.
A searchable library of Instagram reels, carousels and photos that reached far more people than the account has followers, all from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers.
Watches the accounts and keywords you give it on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and takes apart any reel you paste. Then it writes that reel up as a script in your voice.
Can you search a library of viral reels in Runwave AI?
No, and Runwave says so itself: "there is no pre-built catalogue to browse".3 Its feed fills with reels "Pulled live from the accounts and keywords you point it at",2 ranked by how fast each one is spreading.1 Or you paste in a reel and it takes that one apart.
Aubrium works the other way round. It's a library you search, built only from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers. A reel gets in when it reaches at least twice its creator's follower count and at least 10,000 views. Every post carries the same 23 labels, the hook and how it was made among them. So you can ask a question of thousands of reels at once, not just of one. Here's one, asked of the library's viral reels:
POV hooks open only 3.9% of these reels. But the middle one travelled 33.1 times its creator's followers, the furthest of any hook type. Relatable hooks come close, at 32.4 times. A breakdown of one POV reel, however sharp, can't tell you that. A library labelled the same way on every post can.
That's not a knock on Runwave. It ranks each reel against its account's usual numbers rather than raw views, which is the right way to spot one worth learning from.2 And if you already know which reels you want to study, its breakdown covers things ours doesn't, like the timing of each cut and where people stop watching.1

Where Runwave AI is better
It wins on platforms, on taking a single reel apart, and on price. It also works inside Claude, just as Aubrium does.2
TikTok and YouTube Shorts too
Its trending feeds cover Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Aubrium is Instagram only.
Any reel, taken apart
Paste a reel and get the full transcript, the hook, the pacing, the B-roll and where people stopped watching, plus a script ready to film. Aubrium labels the hook, format and pace, but not where viewers drop off.6
Scripts that sound like you
Paste your offers and old scripts once, or add your website, and Runwave writes from them. Starter has 10 script adaptations a month. Pro has no limit.
A $5 first month on Starter, then a flat bill
Starter is $19 a month after that. Pro is $39 a month from day one. Both are flat: "No per-video charges, ever." Aubrium starts at $49, and what you make costs Sparks.
Where Aubrium is better
It wins on finding ideas you didn't know to look for, in any niche.
Any niche, not one kind of creator
The library covers 360 niches. Runwave's home page says it's "Built for one kind of creator" and isn't for you if "Your content has nothing to do with AI, software, or automation."
Accounts your size, in your country
Every post comes from an account with 1,000 to 100,000 followers. Filter by country, account size, hook type, format, on camera or not, and AI or not. A size or country filter isn't mentioned on Runwave's site.
Carousels and photos
The library holds 13,767 carousels and 6,526 photos beside the reels, and Create Posts writes a carousel for you. Runwave lists carousels among the formats it "doesn't touch at all".4
A written refund policy
A full refund within 15 days of your first subscription, used or not.7 We found no refund policy on Runwave's site.
Pricing compared
Runwave is the cheaper way in. The two charge for different things, though.
| Plan | Aubrium | Runwave AI |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | $49 a month (Lite): 2 Instagram accounts, 100 Sparks | $19 a month (Starter), $5 for the first month: up to 20 competitors, 1 niche feed, 10 script adaptations a month |
| Middle | $99 a month (Growth): 5 accounts, 250 Sparks | $39 a month (Pro): up to 100 competitors, 3 niche feeds, unlimited script adaptations |
| Top | $249 a month (Pro): 10 accounts, 1,000 Sparks | No third plan on their site |
Runwave's two plans are billed monthly at a flat price: "No per-video charges, ever."1 The $5 month is for Starter only, and no yearly discount is shown. Both plans also include tracking competitors. At Aubrium, tracking a rival costs 40 Sparks for 30 days.
Aubrium is monthly only, and every plan has every tool. Sparks are the credits you spend inside it, and they pay for what you make: 2 for Make my version, a script or a carousel, and 10 for a topic search. Browsing the library is included in every plan.5

Can I use Runwave AI or Aubrium inside Claude?
How we did this
We read runwaveai.com on 22 October 2026: the home page with its plans and FAQ, its own pages comparing it with Sandcastles and Predis.ai, and its page of Sandcastles alternatives. We didn't pay for Runwave or use its app, so nothing here comes from inside it. Runwave compares itself with Sandcastles, and so did we, in Aubrium vs Sandcastles.
Aubrium's numbers come from its own library on 22 October 2026, counting the posts members can see. Aubrium makes this page.
