Aubrium vs Octupie: which is better for finding viral reels?
Octupie picks the accounts in your niche for you and writes scripts in your style. Aubrium is a library you search, from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers.

A horse-care account in the UK with 3,537 followers, @hanna…, posted a reel that opens on six words: "Oh, would you look at this?" It has 51,458,999 views. That's 14,549 times its follower count.
Would you have known to follow that account? Probably not. And that question is what this page is about.
Viral posts from small accounts aren't rare. In Aubrium's library, read on 22 October 2026, 122,295 of the 286,620 viral reels and posts come from accounts with fewer than 10,000 followers. That's 43%. A reel only gets in if it reached at least twice its creator's follower count and at least 10,000 views.
Both tools hunt for reels like that one. Octupie looks for posts that beat the account's usual views. Aubrium looks for reels that reached far more people than the account has followers. The bigger difference is who picks the accounts. Octupie picks them for you when you sign up. Aubrium is a library you search yourself, and every account in it has between 1,000 and 100,000 followers.
Fair warning: this is our page. We built Aubrium. We haven't used Octupie's app, so everything about it here comes from its own site, which we read on 22 October 2026 and quote where it matters. Both are in the best tools to find viral reels, if you want the wider field.
Pick Octupie if you'd rather not do the research: it picks the accounts in your niche, flags their breakout reels and writes scripts in your own style, from $29 a month after a 7-day free trial. Pick Aubrium if you want to search viral reels from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers yourself, filtered by niche and country, from $49 a month.
A searchable library of Instagram reels and posts that reached far more people than the account has followers, from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers.
Learns your niche when you sign up, finds the top accounts in it, watches them for you and flags the reels doing far better than usual.
Who picks the accounts you learn from?
Octupie picks them for you. With Aubrium, nobody does: you search a library and filter it yourself. Here's how Octupie puts it.
“Octupie learns your niche during onboarding, finds the top accounts in it, watches them for you, and surfaces the outliers automatically. You get a curated feed instead of a blank tracker.”
An outlier, in Octupie's words, is a post that "significantly outperforms the account's own baseline", meaning its usual views.1 Its plans list up to 10 "tracked competitors" on the trial, 15 on Creator and 30 on Pro.2 If you want to follow a specific account, its site says you still can.1 So your feed is built from the accounts Octupie found, plus the ones you name.
Aubrium works the other way round. Its library holds 286,620 viral reels and posts from 196,476 creators, and you search it by niche, country, account size, format and hook type.9 There's no list of accounts. You pick a niche and the filters, and the posts come ranked by how far they travelled. That's more of your own searching, and it's also how you find accounts you'd never have thought to follow.
Two things stand out. Small accounts are a big part of the library: 43% of its viral posts come from accounts under 10,000 followers, the first three bars. And the smaller the accounts, the further the middle reel travelled against their following: 93 times for accounts under 2,000, against 10 times for 50,000 to 100,000. Part of that is the rule for getting in: every reel needs at least 10,000 views, which is a bigger jump for a small account. Still, when an account with 3,537 followers gets 51 million views, the idea did the work.
To be fair to Octupie, it measures each post against the account's own usual views. In its words, "a small account's breakout shows up next to a big account's because each is measured against its own baseline".4 So if a small account is in your feed, its hits can show up there. What its site doesn't say is how big the accounts it picks are, and a filter for account size or country isn't on its site.1, 2 Aubrium has both on every search.

Where Octupie is better
It wins on effort, on writing in your voice, on how easy it is to try, and on price.
The set-up is done for you
It learns your niche when you sign up, finds the accounts and watches them, and its feed updates daily. You never build a list by hand. With Aubrium, you pick the niche and the filters.
Scripts that sound like you
It learns your tone, phrases, openers and closers from your own reels, then writes a ready-to-film script in about 30 seconds. Scripts come in your language, Hinglish included, and Pro has unlimited scripts (fair use).
A real trial, and a wider refund
7 days free with no card, and nothing is charged unless you pick a plan. After that, a full refund within 14 days of any payment, renewals included.3 Aubrium's 15-day refund covers only your first subscription.8
A lower price, and seats for a team
Creator is $29 a month, or $23 a month billed yearly. Pro adds seats for up to 45 creators at $35 a month each. Aubrium starts at $49, monthly only, with no team seats.
Where Aubrium is better
It wins on accounts you didn't know about, on filters, and on formats.
Accounts you didn't know to follow
The library holds viral posts from 196,476 creators, every one with 1,000 to 100,000 followers. You don't need to know who to follow first.
Filters for country, size and style
Filter by country, account size, format, hook type, and whether it looks AI-made.9 A country filter isn't on Octupie's site.
Photos too, and carousels made for you
The library holds 13,767 carousels and 6,526 photos alongside its reels. Octupie's feed has carousels too, but photos aren't on its site. Make my version turns any viral post into your own reel script or carousel for 2 Sparks, and Create Posts writes a 2-to-20-slide deck.6
Inside ChatGPT and Claude
Aubrium connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Perplexity, Zapier, n8n and Make over MCP.7 An MCP connector isn't on Octupie's site.
Pricing compared
Octupie is cheaper to start, and it has a trial. Aubrium's plans differ by how many Instagram accounts of your own you can add (2, 5 or 10) and how many Sparks you get each month.
| Plan | Aubrium | Octupie |
|---|---|---|
| Trial | None | 7 days free, no card: 3 scripts, up to 10 tracked accounts |
| Entry | $49 a month (Lite): 2 Instagram accounts, 100 Sparks | $29 a month (Creator): 15 tracked accounts, 50 breakdowns and 30 scripts a month; or $23 a month billed yearly ($279) |
| Next | $99 a month (Growth): 5 accounts, 250 Sparks | $49 a month (Pro): 30 tracked accounts, 100 breakdowns, unlimited scripts (fair use); or $39 a month billed yearly ($469) |
| Top | $249 a month (Pro): 10 accounts, 1,000 Sparks | No third plan on their pricing page. Pro seats are $35 a month or $329 a year each, up to 45 |
| Refunds | First subscription: in full within 15 days, used or not. A renewal: within 7 days, if you haven't used that month's Sparks | In full within 14 days of any payment, for any reason, renewals included |
Aubrium is monthly only, and every plan has every tool. Sparks pay for what you make and for searches and rivals: 2 for Make my version, a script or a carousel, 10 for a topic search, and 40 to track a rival for 30 days.5, 6 Searching, filtering and saving from the library never cost Sparks.10 Octupie, in its own words, "charges by plan, not by credit".4 Each plan sets how many breakdowns (its read of a reel: the hook, what's on screen and the structure), scripts and chat messages you get, and Pro's scripts are unlimited (fair use).2
Which one should you pick?

Questions people ask
Is Aubrium better than Octupie?
It depends who you want picking the accounts. If you want it done for you, with scripts in your own style, Octupie does that from $29 a month. If you want to search viral reels from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers yourself, filtered by country, Aubrium does that from $49 a month.
Does Octupie show reels from small accounts?
It can. Octupie measures each post against the account's own usual views, so a small account's breakout can sit beside a big one's. It shows the accounts it picked and the ones you add, and a filter for account size isn't on its site.
Which is cheaper?
Octupie. Its Creator plan is $29 a month, or $23 a month billed yearly. Aubrium starts at $49 a month and is monthly only.
Do they have a free trial?
Octupie has a 7-day free trial with no card. Aubrium has no free plan or trial on its site. It gives a full refund within 15 days of your first subscription instead.
What are their refund policies?
Octupie refunds any payment in full within 14 days, renewals included. Aubrium refunds a first subscription in full within 15 days, used or not, and a renewal within 7 days if you haven't used that month's Sparks.
Does either one post for you?
No. Octupie says it "doesn't film, edit or post for you". Aubrium doesn't post or schedule either: you download what you make and post it yourself.
Do they work for TikTok or YouTube Shorts?
No, both are Instagram only. Octupie can read your LinkedIn, X, YouTube and website when you sign up, but only as context about you.
