Aubrium vs ViralSpot: which is better for finding viral reels?

ViralSpot and Aubrium both find Instagram reels that beat their account's usual numbers. ViralSpot costs less. Aubrium filters by country. We've used both.

Aubrium ResearchEditorial · Updated

When we paid for ViralSpot and opened its outliers feed on 19 September 2026, the top reel had a Spanish caption. There was no way to ask for reels from one country.

That missing filter is the main difference between two tools that are otherwise close. Both are Instagram only. Both hunt for outliers, reels that did far better than the account usually does. Both track competitors, write scripts and build carousels. And ViralSpot costs less: $25 a month for everything, against Aubrium's $49.

Fair warning: this is our page. We built Aubrium, we paid for ViralSpot and used it, and we read its website again today, so read this knowing that. ViralSpot is also one of the tools in the best tools to find viral reels, and our guide to reel idea tools for small accounts calls it the best value for a small account. Here's how the two compare on what each one finds, what it costs, and who it suits.

The short answer

Pick ViralSpot if you want a full set of tools for less: $25 a month on its launch offer, or $20 a month billed yearly, with unlimited credits and up to 20 competitors tracked. Pick Aubrium if you want reels from creators in your own country, all from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers, with each reel's hook and how it was made. Aubrium starts at $49 a month.

A libraryAubrium

A searchable library of Instagram reels that reached far more people than the account has followers, from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers.

A feed and an AI agentViralSpot

A live feed of Instagram outliers, tracking for up to 20 competitors, and a chat that writes scripts and carousels in your voice.

Which one shows reels from creators in my country?

Aubrium does: you can filter its library by country. ViralSpot's site doesn't mention a country filter, and there wasn't one in its app when we used it on 19 September 2026.1

Everything else about how they find reels is close. ViralSpot scores each post "against its account's normal" and filters by niche, format and account size.1 Aubrium only keeps a reel that reached at least twice its creator's follower count and at least 10,000 views, from an account with 1,000 to 100,000 followers.9

Where the posts in Aubrium's library come from, by the creator's countryEach bar is a share of the library's posts whose creator's country field is filled in; 3.2% of those read Not shared. Read 22 October 2026. It shows what the library holds, not where reels do best. Every post here already went viral, so none of it is the odds for a new one.
United States34.4%
India20.1%
United Kingdom6.1%
Canada4.4%
Australia3.4%
Pakistan2%
Germany2%
Brazil1.8%
Indonesia1.7%

That chart is why the filter matters. Unfiltered, Aubrium's own library leans hard toward the US and India. If you post from the UK, only 6.1% of these posts come from UK creators, and those are the ones made for an audience like yours: the same jokes, prices and slang. A country filter puts them in front of you in one tap. Without one, you scroll past everyone else's to find them. If you're in the US, a mix like this already leans your way.

To be fair to ViralSpot, you can also type @ to pull up any profile.1 If you already know the accounts you want to learn from, a country filter matters less.

Where ViralSpot is better

It wins on price, and on how much that price includes.

A lower price

One plan: $25 a month on its launch offer (it was $35), or $20 a month billed yearly.2 Aubrium starts at $49 and is monthly only.

No credits to count

Its pricing page says "no caps on what you generate."2 In Aubrium, Sparks pay for each script, carousel and topic search, and they can run out.

Tracking in the price

Add up to 5 of your own pages and track up to 20 competitors, refreshed daily.1 In Aubrium, each rival you track costs Sparks.

An account-age filter

You can filter by how old an account is.1 Aubrium can't do that.

Where Aubrium is better

It wins on where the reels come from, and on what each one tells you.

A country filter

Pick a country and see only creators from there. ViralSpot's site doesn't mention one.

Accounts your size, by design

Every reel comes from an account with 1,000 to 100,000 followers. The middle post's account has 12,805 followers, and 43% of the library's posts come from accounts under 10,000 followers.

23 labels on every post

Hook type, format, whether someone talks to camera, whether it looks AI-made, and more. You can filter by each of those four.9

A score against your niche and region

Each week, Performance shows how often you post and how closely your last 12 reels follow what goes viral in your niche and region.9

Pricing compared

ViralSpot is cheaper and simpler: one plan with everything in it. Aubrium has three plans that climb by how many accounts you run and how many Sparks you get.

Aubrium is monthly only, and every plan has every tool.7 Searching, filtering and saving in the library never cost Sparks.11 ViralSpot's page sums itself up as "One plan, every feature."2 ViralSpot's privacy policy adds that your IP address "may be used to determine your country for pricing and tax purposes."6

On refunds, ViralSpot's covers the first payment only, once per account, and ends the plan.4 Aubrium's 15-day refund is also once per person and ends the plan, and a renewal can be refunded within 7 days if none of that month's Sparks were used.8

Which one should you pick?

It comes down to how much you want to spend, and whether the reels you study should come from your own country.

How we did this

We read viralspot.ai (its home page, pricing, MCP page, developer docs, terms, privacy policy and guide for AI agents) and aubrium.com on 22 October 2026. We also paid for ViralSpot and used it on 19 September 2026. The follower slider, the missing country filter and the Spanish caption come from that session, and ViralSpot may have changed since. ViralSpot's home page counts its niches two ways, so we've left the number out.

Aubrium's numbers come from its own library on 22 October 2026, counting the posts members can see. Aubrium makes this page.
