What kind of hook works best for home workout reels?
Relatable lines, among the types with enough reels to count. Transformation teases are the most common, at 14%.
Relatable lines open 7% of these reels and reached 25× for the middle one, against 20× for transformation teases. POV hooks sit far above everything on the chart, at 97×, but there are only 21 of them. Bold claims, callouts, number lists and questions each make up 10% to 12% and sat between 13× and 16×. 20% have no hook of any type.

Longer than you might think. The middle hook is 9 words, and the longest went furthest.
Hooks of 21 words or more are only 9% of the total, but their middle reel reached 26× its followers, against 19× for 13 to 20 words and 13× for 1 to 4. Even so, 49% run 8 words or fewer.
Should you say the hook or show it?
Show it. 67% write the hook on screen with no voice, and 83% show it in some form.
Text alone reached 17× for the middle reel, and the 6% with a voice-only hook reached 18×, about the same. Text that's also read aloud sat lower, at 13×.
How do viral home workout hooks start?
