What kind of hook works best for landscaping reels?
Transformation teases, at 11%. They went furthest of the bigger groups, and curiosity gaps match them on share.
The middle transformation tease reached 50 times its creator's followers, against 41 for a curiosity gap and 35 for a bold claim. A few rare kinds sit higher: warnings reached 69, negative hooks 66 and callouts 63, but none has more than 20 reels behind it. Then there's the 41% with no hook of any type. How long should a landscaping hook be?
Hooks of 9 to 12 words went furthest of the common lengths, 49 times followers for the middle reel, and long ones fell behind.
The very shortest, 1 to 4 words, reached 52, but only 23 hooks are that short. Hooks of 13 to 20 words reached 36 and 5 to 8 words 35. Past 20 words, the middle reel reached just 23 times. The middle hook is 10 words, and 36% run 8 words or fewer.
Should you say the hook or show it?
