How to go viral in the child development niche on Instagram

What 700+ viral child development reels have in common: what they show, how they start, what they sound like, and who posts them. Real numbers from Aubrium's library.

Aubrium ResearchEditorial · Updated

No hook, just a tutorial and a caption quoting a line about letting children "get out of their chairs". The tags file it under gross motor skills and fun learning. The reel reached 4.5 million views from an account with 2,298 followers.

Small accounts are a big part of this niche: 44% of the 700+ viral child development reels in Aubrium's library were posted by accounts under 10,000 followers. Over the whole set, the middle reel came from an account with 12,188 followers, and 120+ topped a million views. We looked at what these reels share, and we kept clear of advice: every number here describes reels, not children. The guide to which reels go viral is the wider picture, and all the niches we studied are listed together.
