What kind of golf instruction reels go viral?
Tutorials, almost entirely: 72% of these reels teach one thing. Nothing else reaches 6%.
The format that travelled furthest is a rarer one. Before-and-afters, just 33 reels, reached 40× their account's followers for the middle one, against 14× for the tutorials. Montages sat at 26× and voiceovers over footage at 22×. Stories reached 45×, but there are only 9 of them. Film the swing before the fix and after it, and you've made the format that went furthest here.
Do you need to show your face?
No. 56% show a face, but the 44% without one went further: their middle reel reached 20× followers, against 13× for reels with a face. 30% have someone talking to camera, and only 4% have nobody in frame, so most faceless reels still show a golfer, just not a face.
Should golf instruction reels have text on screen?
Yes. 88% put text on screen, 69% as a line or two. The 12% with no text went furthest, 22× the follower count, against 16× for a light line and 13× for a lot. A tip that needs a paragraph on screen is a tip that needs a better clip.
Trending song or your own sound?
Their own sound, at 68%, often a voice explaining the move. A song runs on only 27%, under the library's 37%. Songs and original audio sat side by side, 15× and 16×. The 29 reels with another creator's sound went furthest of the three, at 22×, though it's a small group.

Curiosity gaps, questions and transformation teases all reached 20× to 21×, while bold claims sat at 11×. "If" is the most common opening word on English hooks here, and "stop" is on the list too. 16% carry no hook of any type. A lot of these hooks are said out loud: 19% are spoken alone and 27% are spoken and shown. Six from the range:
