Montages lead, at 25%, with skits right behind at 21% and stories at 13%.
Skits are the headline. Their middle reel reached 68× its account's followers, against 22× for montages and 31× for stories. Voiceovers over footage and talking heads trailed, at 11× and 9×. With 41% of these reels played for laughs, the joke is the format to beat.
Do you need to show your face?
No. 62% show a face and 38% don't, and both groups' middle reel reached 23× followers. 7% show no one at all, and 26% have someone talking to camera. Show the shot, the cart or the friend who duffed it; the numbers don't pick a side.
