Often none at all. When there is one, the biggest group is curiosity gaps. The highest multiples belong to small groups: relatable lines, POV hooks and aspirational lines.
The 52% with no hook still reached 28 times their creator's followers for the middle one, further than the middle curiosity gap at 25. Hooks of 1–4 words reached 36 times their creator's followers for the middle reel, the most of any band, and 53% of the English hooks are 8 words or fewer. The multiple drops to 14 by 13–20 words, then climbs back to 24 past 20 words.
Should you say the hook or show it?

Text on screen alone opened 30% of these reels, and the middle one reached 30 times its creator's followers. A voice alone, on 16%, reached 19.
