How long should a street food hook be?
Very short. Hooks of 1 to 4 words went furthest, even though the middle hook here is 10 words.
Those tiny hooks are 10% of the total, and their middle reel reached 30 times its creator's followers. After that the multiple falls at every step: 20 for 5 to 8 words, 15 for 9 to 12, 10 for 13 to 20, and 6 past 20 words. Only 41% of street food hooks are 8 words or fewer, so most run longer than the ones that went furthest.
Should you say the hook or show it?
Show it. Text with no voice opens 30% of these reels, a hair more than a voice alone, and it travelled furthest.
The middle reel with text alone reached 30 times its creator's followers. A voice alone reached 17, and text read out loud 12. Talking is still common: 26% say the hook with no text, and 25% say it and show it. Plenty of street food reels start mid-order, and the hook is just what someone said at the stall: "This is the famous man. Can I get one, sir?"
How do viral street food hooks start?
With "this", 19 times, as in "This is the most famous Bami in Vietnam." Then "POV" at 14, "the" at 11, and "I" and "if" at 10 each.
