The best CreatorHouse alternatives for finding viral reels (2026)

CreatorHouse reads the reels of accounts you already know. If you want to find the ones you don't, here are seven alternatives our team tested hands-on, ours included: whose reels they show and whose scripts win.

Aubrium ResearchEditorial · Updated

CreatorHouse is built on a simple idea. You pick the Instagram and TikTok accounts you admire, and it keeps their newest posts in one feed.1 Open one of their videos and it reads it for you: what's said, the words on screen, and each beat with a timestamp and a short clip.

If you already know whose content to learn from, that's a good way to study it. The questions start when you don't know yet, or when your list gets long.

What about the small account in your niche that had the best week of its life? You'd have to know its name before CreatorHouse could show it to you. There's no search, and the accounts it suggests are some of the most famous on Instagram.

This guide covers seven alternatives. Our team studied each app hands-on in October 2026, CreatorHouse included, with the same searches and the same five reels in each. We make Aubrium, one of the seven, so read with that in mind. We've also put the two side by side on their own page.

The short answer

If you're leaving CreatorHouse, Aubrium is the best pick for most Instagram creators. You don't need a list of names: it's a library of viral reels from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers, each one read before you open it, and its scripts came first in our blind test. If you want to keep TikTok, Virlo covers it, and its scripts came second.

What does CreatorHouse do well?

Quite a lot, once you've found the reel. Its read of a single video is one of the clearest we saw.

A reel, beat by beat

It splits a video into beats, like the hook, the setup and the reveal. Each beat gets a timestamp and a short clip of that moment.

The words, in order

It lists what's said and the words on screen in the order they appear, with notes on each scene and the music.

Strong hooks and captions

In our blind test, its hooks scored second only to ours, and its captions scored the highest of all eight tools.

Two platforms, four languages

It follows Instagram and TikTok accounts, and the app comes in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

It's also cheap to start. After a 3-day trial, it's $39 a month, $97 a year or $14.99 a week, and every plan says it includes unlimited creator tracking.2

Why do people look for a CreatorHouse alternative?

Mostly because of how it's built. It only ever shows you the accounts you bring it. Here's what that looked like in our tests.

1

No search

There's no keyword, hashtag or topic search. To see viral pilates reels from small accounts, you'd need their names first. Its own review of Sandcastles lists "Research beyond your watchlist" as a place Sandcastles is ahead.3

2

Famous suggestions

If you don't have a list, it gives you one for your niche. Across its 19 niche lists, the typical suggested account had 3.8 million followers. Its sports list opens with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

3

A score that moves

Its "reach" figure compares a post with that account's recent views. The same reel scored 0.5× over 90 days and 1.6× over 7.

4

Long lists struggled

Once we tracked about 40 accounts, the feed stopped loading. At about 59, the whole site went down for a while. That was on one day of tests.

5

Scripts that add details

Its scripts followed the reel closely, then filled in things nobody gave them, like a six-hour sunscreen wear test.

6

Tokens for every read

Nothing is read until you ask. Reading a video or writing a script uses your monthly tokens, and unused ones don't roll over.1

None of this makes CreatorHouse a bad tool. It's a good reader of reels you've already found. If finding them is the hard part, you need a different kind of tool.

What to look for in a CreatorHouse alternative

Before we get to the tools, here's the checklist we used. Each line is one of the reasons above, turned around.

What a good CreatorHouse alternative gets right

  • Yes: It finds reels by topic, not only from accounts you already know
  • Yes: It shows reels from accounts your size, not famous ones
  • Yes: Its "viral" reels really did beat what their account usually gets
  • Yes: It reads each post for you before you open it
  • Yes: You can see where creators are, and filter by country
  • Yes: If it writes scripts, it sticks to what's in the reel

If you post the same video on TikTok, add one more line: it covers TikTok too.

How we tested them

We didn't stop at each tool's website. Our team used each app the way a creator would, from the inside, CreatorHouse included.

We ran more than 1,300 searches across the tools that have a search box, with the same keywords in each, and kept every result. For each one we noted who posted it, how many followers they had, how the reel did, and whether it matched what we searched for. We ran the same keywords on Aubrium's library. CreatorHouse has no search, so there we read the accounts it suggests for every niche, then added small accounts to its watchlist one at a time.

For the writing, every tool that writes got the same five viral reels: a face-wash ranking, a tinted sunscreen launch, a pilates class in a parking lot, a run of baking fails and a coffee cart's first quote. The scripts were scored blind by AI reviewers, software that reads text and scores it, with one scorecard and no tool names, in two rounds.

CreatorHouse alternatives at a glance

Here's how the seven rank once you put them through all of that. On the same tests, CreatorHouse itself would sit between ViralSpot and Octupie. The full reviews follow, then the numbers behind the ranking.

The seven alternatives, one by one

1. Aubrium

LibraryFrom $49/mo

Best for: Finding viral reels without a list of names

Aubrium is the other way round from a watchlist. It's a library of Instagram reels and posts that reached far more people than their creators have followers, and every account in it has between 1,000 and 100,000 followers. You don't need a single name to start.

There are more than 260,000 posts in it today, from more than 190,000 creators, filed into 350+ niches. Every post arrives already read: its hook type, its format, whether someone talks to camera, and the creator's country on 96% of posts. Browsing the library never uses Sparks.4

If you'll miss CreatorHouse's watching, My Rivals does that part. Add accounts like yours, and it flags the reel that's breaking out against that account's usual. Make my version writes your own script, hooks and a caption from any reel, and it all works inside ChatGPT and Claude.

2. Virlo

AI search + research agentsFrom $49/mo

Best for: Teams who want alerts across TikTok, Reels and Shorts

Virlo is the pick if you want to keep TikTok and add a search. You chat with its assistant, set up research agents that collect videos on a topic, and get alerts when something takes off.6 It covers TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and Pro comes with 3 team seats.7

Its writing came second in our blind test, close behind Aubrium. Where CreatorHouse filled in details, Virlo left placeholders for the numbers it didn't know.

Finding Instagram reels is its weak side. Instagram is a small share of what it holds. Its search matches an AI summary of each video rather than the words in it, so half of the results we got didn't have the keyword in the caption. And most of the Instagram reels its research agents collected for us hadn't beaten the account's own followers.

3. ViralSpot

AI agent + watchlistFrom $25/mo

Best for: Human-sounding scripts, if you know whose reels to watch

ViralSpot watches accounts too, but it adds an AI agent that can look further. You talk to it, and it finds reels, breaks them down and writes scripts that sound genuinely human. One plan includes everything, with unlimited credits, so there are no tokens to count.8 Where it doesn't know a fact, it leaves a blank for you instead of guessing.

The catch is the list. Its outliers come only from accounts you track, up to 20, and each slot locks for three days once you fill it. Its wider index is built from what its own users track, so it's thin on many topics. Over 90 keywords and the last 30 days, it found 532 posts from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers, where Aubrium had more than 4,000.

4. Octupie

Account search + picked feedFrom $29/mo

Best for: Research done for you, on accounts it picks

Octupie is for people who'd rather not build the list at all. You tell it your niche, and it picks accounts in it, watches them for you, and flags the reels that break out.9 It writes lots of hooks too, around 40 a reel, and its scripts come in your language.

It's kind on money: 7 days with no card, then a full refund within 14 days of any payment, renewals included.10, 11

The trade-off is what you see. It can't search posts, only accounts by their name and bio, and the accounts it returned had a typical 224,000 followers. That's far smaller than CreatorHouse's suggestions, but still big. About a third of its hooks fit the reel well enough to use, and its scripts were short.

5. Viral Outliers

Text search, three platformsFrom $17/mo

Best for: Builders who want an API

Viral Outliers searches posts across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and scores each one against its account's usual. Unlike CreatorHouse, you can search, and you can set a follower filter. You can still group profiles into watchlists, and every plan includes an API and an MCP connector.12, 13

Its search is where it slips. It matches any text that contains your letters, so a search for "cat" pulled in posts about "education". Its default results lean heavily towards big accounts: the typical one had 212,433 followers. And when we filtered to Instagram accounts under 100,000, 45% of the results did worse than their own account usually does.

Its script writer also put a real brand on facts that weren't in the reel.

6. Sandcastles

Watchlist + global searchFrom $49/mo

Best for: Posting the same video on three platforms

Sandcastles is a watchlist like CreatorHouse, with two big additions. It covers YouTube Shorts as well as Instagram and TikTok, and on Pro and up, a global search looks past your own list.14, 15 Its write-up of a single video reads well.

Its search leans towards big accounts, and a lot of what it finds is old. In the same 147 searches, the typical account in its top results had 125,849 followers, against Aubrium's 5,607, and 24% of its top results were posted before 2024. Reading a video's breakdown costs a credit each time, much like CreatorHouse's tokens. Its scripts lost the most points in our test for adding statistics nobody can back up.

7. Runwave AI

Live pullsFrom $19/mo

Best for: Creators who post about AI tools

Runwave works a lot like CreatorHouse. You give it accounts and a few keywords, and it pulls their reels live, then helps you take one apart and write your own.17 Its script outline editor is nice to use, and the first month of Starter is $5.18 Its home page says it's built for creators who post about AI tools and automation.

It keeps no library of its own, so when its data source stops, so does the search. In our test, its data provider was out of credits and every search came back empty. That may well work on another day. Its hook writer also wasn't told what the reel was about, so it wrote hooks about side hustles for a skincare reel.

The numbers behind the ranking

If you want the detail, here it is. Each part puts CreatorHouse first, so you can see what you'd be swapping.

Whose reels do they show you?

CreatorHouse has no search, so its suggestions are where you start. Pick a niche and it shows ten "top creators" to follow, the same ten for everyone who picks it. For beauty, the smallest had about 740,000 followers and the largest more than 57 million.

The other tools we measured the way their own search works: we ran the same keywords in each and looked at the accounts behind the top results.

ToolThe accounts it puts in front of you
CreatorHouseNo search. Its suggested accounts had a median of 3.8 million followers
AubriumTypical account: 5,607 followers. None over 100,000, two in three under 10,000
SandcastlesTypical account: 125,849 followers. 58% over 100,000, 9% over a million
Viral OutliersDefault view, typical account: 212,433 followers. 69% over 100,000
OctupieIts search returns accounts, typically 224,000 followers. 18% over a million

Here's the fair part. When we added four small beauty accounts to CreatorHouse by hand, they took 31 of the top 60 places in its "Biggest outliers" list. Its maths works on small accounts. It just never points you at them.

Did the reels really beat their account?

CreatorHouse's "reach" figure compares a post with the middle of that account's views over the period you pick: 7, 30 or 90 days. That's a sensible idea. In our tests, though, the number moved around a lot, and the other tools had problems of their own:

What we found when we checked the numbers

  • No: CreatorHouse: the same reel scored 0.5× over 90 days and 1.6× over 7 days
  • No: CreatorHouse: a reel with 6.8 million views, about 1,900 times its creator's followers, showed "1.0× reach", because it was her only post in the window
  • No: Viral Outliers: filtered to Instagram accounts under 100,000, 45% of results did worse than their creator's usual
  • No: Virlo: 87% of the Instagram reels its beauty research agent collected had fewer views than the account has followers
  • No: Sandcastles: 7% of its "outlier" scores were broken, with the score equal to the view count
  • Yes: Aubrium: every reel reached far more people than its creator has followers. The typical one reached 18 times its creator's followers

CreatorHouse also gives carousels and photos no score at all, because they have no views.

Can you search for your topic?

Not in CreatorHouse. You'd need to know the accounts' names first, then add them one by one. In Aubrium you type the word or pick the niche: for pilates, that's more than 1,100 viral posts from accounts with 1,000 to 100,000 followers.

Where the other tools do search, they match what you typed in different ways:

ToolWhat its search really matchesWhat we found
CreatorHouseNothing; there's no searchYou type each account in yourself
AubriumCaptions, transcripts and posts filed by topicResults on the topic you picked
ViralSpotIts own topic labels, from accounts its users track63% of results had none of our words

Viral OutliersAny text containing your letters"Cat" matched "education"
OctupieAccount names and bios41% of accounts were on topic
Runwave AIA few keywords, fetched liveNothing came back in our tests

Country is part of this too. Aubrium knows the creator's country for 96% of its posts, across 200 countries, and lets you filter by it. CreatorHouse shows no country at all, and neither do Octupie, ViralSpot, Viral Outliers or Runwave AI. Sandcastles has no country filter, and Virlo had a region on 4% of its Instagram results.

What happens when your list gets long?

CreatorHouse says you can track as many accounts as you like.2 In our tests, we added small accounts one at a time. Once we had about 40, its feed stopped loading. At about 59, the whole site went down for a while. That may have been a one-off on the day, so take it as what we saw rather than a rule.

The other watchlists set a number instead. ViralSpot tracks up to 20 accounts,19 Octupie 15 or 30 depending on the plan,10 Runwave AI 20 on Starter,18 and Sandcastles up to 150 a workspace on Pro.14 A library doesn't depend on a list at all. Aubrium's search works whether you follow anyone or not, and My Rivals is there for the accounts you do want to watch.

Whose scripts are best?

Aubrium came first in both rounds, and no reviewer scored another tool above it, and wrote the most "best hook of the reel" picks, 8 of 15. CreatorHouse came fourth, with some of the best hooks in the test. For the pilates reel, two of the three reviewers picked its "Locked door. Eight mats. Zero instructor. Here's what we did." as the best opener.

Who sticks to what's in the reel?

Hooks are CreatorHouse's strength. Its hooks were the most usable of any tool. Sticking to the facts is where it lost points:

ToolHooks, out of 5Hooks the reviewers would useSticks to the facts, out of 5
Aubrium4.253%4.2
CreatorHouse4.1368%3.2
Virlo3.6762%4.67
ViralSpot3.0731%5.0

All four scores are from the second round of the blind test, averaged over three reviewers and five reels.

What CreatorHouse added

A six-hour wear test for the sunscreen. For the coffee cart, an espresso-machine story with prices the reel never gave.

Details you'd have to check, or make up, before you film.
What the careful ones did

Aubrium kept each reel's own story and turned it into a timed shot list with 23 hooks and a caption. ViralSpot and Virlo left a blank or a placeholder where they didn't know a fact.

All three scored higher than CreatorHouse for sticking to the facts.

Questions people ask

What is the best CreatorHouse alternative?

For most Instagram creators, Aubrium. You don't need to know any account names, every reel comes from an account with 1,000 to 100,000 followers, and its scripts scored highest in our blind test. If you want to keep TikTok, Virlo came closest.

Is there a CreatorHouse alternative with a search?

Yes, several. Aubrium, Virlo and Viral Outliers let you search posts, and so does Sandcastles on Pro and up.15 ViralSpot searches through its AI agent. Octupie only searches accounts, and Runwave AI fetches a few keywords live.

Does CreatorHouse find small accounts for me?

Not in our tests. It has no search, and the accounts it suggests per niche had a median of 3.8 million followers. Its scores do work on small accounts once you add them yourself.

Does CreatorHouse label hook types?

Its site mentions hook types, but we didn't find them in the app. It shows the hook line and marks its "power words". Aubrium labels the hook type on every post in its library.

Which CreatorHouse alternatives cover TikTok?

Virlo, Sandcastles, Viral Outliers and Runwave AI cover TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts. Aubrium, ViralSpot and Octupie are Instagram only.

Is there a free CreatorHouse alternative?

None of the seven has a free plan. Octupie gives 7 days with no card. Virlo and Viral Outliers give 7 days too, and Viral Outliers asks for a card. Runwave AI's first month is $5. Aubrium has no trial, but it refunds a first plan in full within 15 days.5 CreatorHouse itself has a 3-day trial, and its terms say refunds are "handled on a case-by-case basis".20

Can I use these inside ChatGPT or Claude?

CreatorHouse can't, and its own review of Sandcastles says so.3 Aubrium works inside ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps.21 ViralSpot, Viral Outliers, Runwave AI and Sandcastles (Pro and up) have an MCP connector, which links a tool to an AI assistant.22, 12, 17, 14 Virlo sells its MCP server pay as you go.23

Each of these goes deeper on one tool or one question from this page:

How we did this

Our team studied each app hands-on in October 2026, using it the way a creator would, CreatorHouse included. We ran more than 1,300 searches across the tools that have one, with the same keyword list in each, and saved every result: the account, its followers, the views, the tool's own score and the caption. We ran the same keywords on Aubrium's library. CreatorHouse has no search, so we read the accounts it suggests for all of its niches and added small accounts to its watchlist one at a time. The five script reels were the same for every tool. Where a plan capped a step, we used what it allowed and counted only what it produced.

The scripts were scored blind by AI reviewers with one scorecard and no tool names, in two rounds of three. Prices, trials and refund terms are from each tool's own site, read on 22 October 2026. Aubrium's numbers come from its own database, read on 23 October 2026. Prices and apps change. If something here is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it and move the date. And yes, Aubrium makes this page.
