How to go viral in the powerlifting niche on Instagram

What 800+ viral powerlifting reels have in common: what they show, how they start, what they sound like, and who posts them. Real numbers from Aubrium's library.

Aubrium ResearchEditorial · Updated

A lift can look perfect to the audience and still come down to the smallest technical detail. The caption under a powerlifting reel says as much, on a reel that opens on "NO WAY THIS COUNTS 😳💀". It came from an account with 3,859 followers and reached 4.8 million views.

Powerlifting reels are meets, squats, benches and deadlifts, and small accounts carry this niche: 54% of the 800+ viral lifting reels we hold came from accounts under 10,000 followers. 110+ passed a million views. What do the big lifts share? See the patterns behind viral reels in every niche for the wider view, and the index of every niche we looked at for the others.
