We read the opening line of every viral physical therapy reel in Aubrium's library: which hooks show up most, which travelled furthest, and 12 real ones to learn from.
Picture the joke from the hook alone: "When you're getting robbed... But you're a PHYSIOTHERAPIST". That reel came from an account with 1,262 followers and reached 1.4 million views.
Jokes like that are a minority here. Relatable lines open 9% of viral physical therapy reels, while 58% of the reels are tutorials, and plenty of their hooks promise relief or a fix. We left those out, which is why only 12 hooks are listed below. We went through all 888 viral physical therapy reels in Aubrium's library, from 721 creators, and counted which hooks they use and how far each kind went. On viral physical therapy reels, curiosity gaps come first at 17%, ahead of questions at 16% and callouts at 11%. POV hooks are rare, at 4%, but the middle one reached 44 times its creator's followers, the furthest of any type. 82% put the hook on screen; the middle hook is 9 words.

What kind of hook works best for physical therapy reels?
Curiosity gaps, narrowly. They open 17% of viral physical therapy reels, and questions open 16%.
On reach, the two part ways: the middle curiosity gap travelled 27 times its creator's followers, the middle question 13. We counted every reel filed in Aubrium's physical therapy niche; a reel can sit in more than one niche.
Hook types, delivery and on-screen text are labels Aubrium's reader puts on every post. Hook length and first words count the 444 reels with an English hook in words. Every number here describes reels that already went viral, so none of it is the odds for a new one.
