Relatable lines are common and also at the top for reach. Their typical reel drew 25 times followers, against 12 for a curiosity gap; only the 20 negative hooks matched it. In our picks below, a relatable hook is model life told as a complaint, like being asked what dye you use when you're a natural blonde. Callouts went least far, at 9 times. And 28% open with no real hook, with a typical reach of 17 times.

How long should a fashion model hook be?
Short hooks went far, though the shortest band isn't the whole story. The middle fashion model hook is 7 words, and 58% are 8 words or fewer.
Four words or fewer went furthest, with a typical 21 times followers. But the 5–8 word group, the biggest at 37%, reached only 12 times, level with the longest hooks at 13. Hooks of 9–12 words reached 16. So length alone doesn't settle it here. A short hook still has to be a sharp one.
Should you say the hook or show it?
Most show it, but saying it went about as far. 76% of viral fashion model reels put the hook on screen, and 62% use text with nothing said.
Written-only hooks gave a typical 17 times followers, and the rare spoken-only ones, 6% of reels, 18: about level. Saying the line while it's also on screen came last, at 10 times. With a face in 92% of these reels, the model is already the picture, and the line just has to frame it.

We counted every reel filed in Aubrium's fashion model niche; a reel can sit in more than one niche.
Hook types, delivery and on-screen text are labels Aubrium's reader puts on every post. Hook length and first words count the 339 reels with an English hook in words. Every number here describes reels that already went viral, so none of it is the odds for a new one.
