How long should a budget travel hook be?
Longer than you'd think. The middle hook here is 12 words, and only 26% run 8 words or fewer.
Budget hooks carry facts: a place, a price, a length of trip. The few of 1–4 words and the 9–12 word ones travelled about as far, 39 and 38 times their creator's followers, with 5–8 words at 27. Past 12 words it drops: 18 times at 13–20 words and 15 past 20 words. Twelve words is room for a country, a price and a catch.
Should you say the hook or show it?
Show it, and plenty say it too: 53% of these reels use text only and 38% use text plus a voice.
Text alone travelled furthest by a distance: 37 times followers for the middle reel, against 18 when it's both and 19 for a voice alone. Talking over a hack is common in this niche, but the silent version is the one that went far.
