The best hooks for solo travel reels, from 785 that went viral
We read the opening line of every viral solo travel reel in Aubrium's library: which hooks show up most, which travelled furthest, and 16 real ones to learn from.

"me when I see a nice view because I'm chronically online". That's the whole hook. An account with 5,700 followers typed it on screen, and the reel got 7.1 million views. It doesn't name the place. It doesn't give a tip. It's a joke the creator makes about themselves.
That kind of line runs all through solo travel. We read the opening line of all 785 viral solo travel reels in Aubrium's library, from 634 creators, and the relatable ones were both the most common and the ones that went furthest. Consider this the solo travel corner of our hooks guide for every kind of creator. Every other niche we looked at is listed in what goes viral in each niche.
Relatable lines are the hook to study for solo travel reels. They open 21% of the 785 viral ones in Aubrium's library, more than any other kind, and their middle reel drew views worth 30 times its creator's followers, the most of any type. Curiosity gaps come next, at 20%. 89% put the hook on screen as text.
